Auto-Save

CDLSuite gives you the option to activate “Automatic-Saving” for your applications.

Completing a commercial driver application can be a lengthy process. Applicants often get distracted or navigate away from the application before finishing it. When an applicant leaves the application unattended for too long, without saving it, there is a likelihood that any data entered up to that point will be lost. For many applicants the thought of starting the application over again can be enough to cause him/her to abandon the process entirely. Worse still, you may not ever be aware that a potential candidate has been lost.

To prevent accidental data loss CDLSuite allows you to activate “Auto-Save” for your applications. Auto-Save starts capturing data entered by the applicant once the applicant has provided their last name, SSN, DOB, and phone number and email address. Thereafter, the application will re-save each time there is a 60-second period or inactivity.

In addition to minimizing applicant frustration the Auto-Save feature also makes you aware of applicants as they are starting the application process and it provides you with their contact information. If the applicant fails to complete and submit the application, you can reach out to them to address any barriers.

Applications that are saved by the Auto-Save feature are indicated by the “Auto-Saved” status on the Applications Tab. Applications that were expressly saved by the applicant are still indicated by the “Pending” status. You should note that because Auto-Save starts as soon as the applicant provides their last name, SSN, DOB, and phone number and email address, all applications will show the “Auto-Saved” status when the applicant first begins completing the application. This status should change to "Pending" or ultimately to "Create File" as the applicant finished the application.

 

 

To activate Auto-Save please navigate to Settings from your Home page. Once there, click on Electronic Application Settings. Be sure to click EDIT in the upper right corner to enter edit mode. Scroll to the bottom of the Electronic Application Setting page to find the “Activate Auto-Save” button and set it to “Yes”. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
